How to Hang Window Curtains With Panel Pictures

Properly hanging curtain panels with images helps add a distinctive look to your windows and the room. Use the right hardware and coordinate it with other window hardware or with interior design elements for a pulled together window treatment. Hang the panels so the images fully display.   • Measuring tape
  • Curtain panels with top and bottom rod pockets
  • Top and bottom curtain rods with brackets

      Measure the complete length and full width of of the curtain panels. Use a pencil to lightly mark the wood immediately above and beneath the window for bracket placement. Mark the wood at each of the four upper and lower corners of the window. Screw the curtain rod brackets into the marked places.

      Slide the top curtain panel rod pocket over a decorative curtain rod. Attach the rod to the top brackets. Place the matching bottom curtain rod through the bottom curtain rod pocket. Connect the bottom curtain rod to the bottom brackets.

      Hang curtains with pictures on the panels so they do not gather on the curtain rods. Pull each panel to its full width on the upper and lower curtain rods.
