How to Make a Tri-Corner Hat Out of Paper

* 2 sheets of 8.5" x 11" paper

* Scissors

* Glue

* Ruler

* Pencil

Instructions:

1. Fold one of the pieces of paper in half lengthwise.

2. Unfold the paper.

3. Fold one short end of the paper up to the center crease.

4. Unfold.

5. Fold the other short end of the paper in up to the center crease.

6. Fold the folded edges in half again, so that they meet along the center line.

7. Unfold the paper. You will now have a rectangle with 3 folds.

8. Fold the paper along the horizontal crease.

9. Fold the unfolded sides of the paper up to the center crease.

10. Fold the left and right edges of the paper into the center crease.

11. Fold the peak of the hat in at a depth of about 1 inch.

12. Glue the peak into place.

13. Repeat Steps 1-12 with the other piece of paper.

14. Glue the two sides of the hat together, along the center crease.

Your tri-corner hat is now complete! You can decorate it with paint, glitter, or anything else you like.
