Making a light sound-activated can be done in seconds through the use of a sound-activated switch. A sound-activated switch is much like a motion-sensor switch, except the switch is activated by sound. Basic sound-activated switches are inexpensive and very easy to install. Most switches allow the user to configure the sensitivity of the switch. For example, a loud sound, such as a clap, or a quiet footstep into a room can activate the light.
