How to Paint a Clear Glass Lamp

Glass Spray Paint

  Dampen a lint-free towel. Wipe the entire surface of the lamp.

  Place newspaper on a flat surface in a well-ventilated area. Protect surrounding items from overspray. Set the lamp on the newspaper.

  Place masking tape on the surface of the glass lamp. Cut designs into the masking tape. Cover any spots you do not want painted, such as the lightbulb socket and electrical cord.

  Spray the lamp with your chosen color of paint. Allow the paint to dry for approximately 45 minutes.

  Remove and reapply the masking tape, as needed, to create different designs with different colors. Allow each coat of paint to dry for 45 minutes before using another color.

Acrylic Paint
