How to Attach Blackout Liner Roller Shade

## Tools and Materials

* Cordless roller shade with blackout liner

* Drill

* 2-inch wood screws

* Level

* Tape measure

* Pencil

* Stud finder

Instructions

1. Measure the window. Use a tape measure to measure the width and height of the window frame. Add 1 inch to each measurement to allow for overlap.

2. Cut the blackout liner. If the blackout liner is too long, cut it to the desired length using a pair of scissors.

3. Attach the blackout liner to the roller shade. Place the blackout liner on the back of the roller shade, making sure that the liner is centered. Tape the liner in place with painter's tape.

4. Mark the location of the mounting brackets. Use a level to mark the location of the mounting brackets on the wall. The brackets should be placed about 1 inch above the top of the window frame.

5. Drill the holes for the mounting brackets. Use a drill to drill holes at the marked locations.

6. Screw the mounting brackets into the wall. Use a screwdriver to screw the mounting brackets into the wall.

7. Snap the roller shade into the mounting brackets. Snap the roller shade into the mounting brackets by aligning the holes in the brackets with the holes in the shade.

8. Test the roller shade. Raise and lower the roller shade to make sure that it operates smoothly.
