How to Make a Loose Yellow Floral Bouquet

A mixed bouquet of yellow flowers adds a sunny touch to any room. Cut fresh flowers such as zinnias, sunflower and lilies from the garden or purchase them in season from a farm stand. Each season offers a different look with yellow blooms. Floral suppliers offer bright flowers, including daisies and carnations, all year. Arrange a loose bouquet of yellow flowers for your home or for a gift. The cheerful bouquet is an appropriate gift for a friend in the hospital or a senior care center.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the three center flowers loosely in your hand, forming a triangle. Place one of the inner ring flowers into the center of the triangle of the first three flowers. Secure them together lightly with a piece of floral tape or curling ribbon about four or five inches from the blossoms if you have a hard time holding the stems in your hand.

    • 2

Add an inner ring flower into the spaces between the first four flowers. Continue adding inner ring flowers around the center of the bouquet. The blossoms should be slightly lower than the first flowers. Secure them if they are hard to hold.

    • 3

Place flowers that frame the bouquet in the spaces around the outer edge of the inner ring stems. If you have more center flowers available, alternate them with the frame flowers. Continue adding flowers until the bouquet is done.

    • 4

Cut the stems of the flowers on a slant with a sharp knife. The stems should be the same length so they will sit evenly in a container.

    • 5

Place the flowers into a vase partially filled with water or wrap it in gift wrapping paper for delivery.

    • 6

Place a sheet of gift wrap on a flat surface. Lay the loose flower bouquet across one corner of the paper. Roll the paper and flowers from left to right until the paper forms a cone. Tape the paper in place or tie curling ribbon around the stem area to secure the paper.
