Plan out your design on the chair to avoid placing the studs in places where they may interfere with the comfort of the seat. Stick to placing them on areas such as the legs, back and sides.
Create shapes such as a heart or star made up of individual decorative studs to adorn the back of a chair. Make a noticeable border by placing studs around the edge of the seat section or keep your decorating plan simple by placing a few studs up and down the chair’s legs.
Clean the chair to remove any dust that may interfere with glue adhesion.
Attach the studs to the chair. Apply a thin layer of urethane glue to the back of the stud, if its back is flat. Press the stud into place. Hold a stud with a nail back to the area where you want it and hammer into place on wooden chairs. Press studs with clasps into place on the fabric chair in a method similar to a push pin.
Repeat the process of installing the studs on and around the chair until your design is complete.
