1. Gather your materials. You will need:
- Fabric vinyl
- Adhesive
- A paintbrush
- A ruler
- A pencil
- Scissors
- A cutting mat
2. Prepare your fabric vinyl. Cut the fabric vinyl to the desired size. If it's a large piece, you may want to cut it into smaller pieces so it's easier to work with.
3. Apply the adhesive. Use the paintbrush to apply a thin layer of adhesive to the back of the fabric vinyl. Be sure to cover the entire surface, and don't forget the edges.
4. Press the fabric vinyl onto the surface. Position the fabric vinyl on the surface you want to adhere it to and press it down firmly. Use the ruler to smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.
5. Let the adhesive dry. Allow the adhesive to dry completely according to the instructions on the packaging. This may take several hours or even overnight.
6. Enjoy your new fabric vinyl! Once the adhesive is dry, you can enjoy your new fabric vinyl project. It can be used for a variety of projects, such as wall decals, furniture upholstery, and clothing.
- If the fabric vinyl is difficult to cut, you can use a rotary cutter or craft knife.
- If you get adhesive on the face of the fabric vinyl, you can use rubbing alcohol to remove it.
- Do not apply fabric vinyl to a freshly-painted surface. Wait at least 24 hours for the paint to dry completely before applying fabric vinyl.
