How to Sew a Blanket From Fur Coat

## How to Sew a Blanket From a Fur Coat

_Materials:_

- Fur coat

- Sewing machine

- Fabric scissors

- Measuring tape

- Fabric marker or chalk

- Polyester batting

- Thread

_Instructions:_

1. Gather your materials.

2. Prepare the fur coat. Remove the lining from the fur coat, if it has one. Trim any excess fabric from the edges of the coat, and turn it inside out.

3. Measure the fur coat. Measure the length and width of the fur coat. Cut two pieces of polyester batting to the same dimensions as the fur coat.

4. Layer the materials. Place one piece of polyester batting on a flat surface. Then, place the fur coat on top of the batting, with the inside of the coat facing up. Finally, place the other piece of polyester batting on top of the fur coat.

5. Baste the layers together. Use a sewing machine to baste the three layers together, starting and ending at the same point. This will help to hold the layers in place while you sew.

6. Stitch the blanket. Use a sewing machine to stitch around the edges of the blanket, starting and ending at the same point. Leave a small opening on one side of the blanket, about 4 inches wide.

7. Turn the blanket right side out. Carefully turn the blanket right side out, being careful not to rip the stitches. Use a point turner or other blunt object to help push out the corners.

8. Close the opening. Use a sewing machine to close the opening in the blanket.

9. Enjoy your new blanket! Your new fur coat blanket is now ready to use.

_Tips:_

* Use a sharp fabric scissors to cut the fur coat and batting. This will help to prevent the fabric from fraying.

* Use a fabric marker or chalk to mark the cutting lines. This will help to ensure that you cut the fabric accurately.

* Baste the layers together before stitching them. This will help to hold the layers in place while you sew.

* Turn the blanket right side out carefully, being careful not to rip the stitches.

* Use a point turner or other blunt object to help push out the corners.
