For shallow chips and scratches
1. Wet a soft sponge or rag with warm, soapy water and scrub the area to clean it. Then rinse clean.
2. When dry, apply automotive touch up paint that is specifically made to adhere to plastics to the small divot or scratch with a fine tipped paintbrush.
3. Let the paint dry completely before using the tub.
For deeper scratches or divots
1. Clean the area to be repaired with warm soapy water and a soft cloth and rag to remove any dirt, debris, and soap scum that has accumulated in the area. Rinse clean.
2. Let the surface dry completely.
3. Apply a mixture of equal parts baking soda and water with a putty knife over the crack.
4. Use the putty knife to carefully spread the paste over the area to be filled, covering the scratched or damaged area completely.
5. Leave the paste to dry for several days.
6. If the mixture has cracked while drying, apply a second layer.
7. Sand down any rough spots with fine grit sandpaper. Smooth the surface with a clean soft cloth.
8. Use automotive touch up paint to cover the patched area.
