Decorating Ideas for Orange & Pink Rooms

Painting

• Use decorative painting techniques to give the walls some decoration over just plain paint. Rag rolling and sponging techniques allow you to use more than one color paint. Paint the wall with your base coat or orange or pink and then use the decorative painting with the second color over top. Stenciling in another option you have when it comes to decorative painting techniques. Use your orange or pink for the base color and then paint the stencils in the other color. • Pink and orange are the colors of many summer flowers. Bring these flowers inside as decorations for the room. Make seasonal arrangements of real flowers with all hues of pink and orange. Use greenery within the arrangement to break up the pink and the orange a little bit. Tying a white ribbon around the vase will also help to add to the decoration. Use both large and small arrangements, placing them around the room in appropriate places, such as on tables or in front of windows.

• Choose furniture accessories that complement the pink and orange, especially if those colors are on the walls. Use pillows or blankets to accent the pink and orange, but use either lighter or darker shades of pink and orange.
