- Pinecones
- Vary the size and shape for visual interest.
- Glitter (in various colors)
- Adhesive spray (optional)
- Newspaper
- Paper plate or shallow disposable container
Instructions:
1. Prepare the pinecones. Place the pinecones on newspaper to protect your work surface. If the pinecones are not completely dry, allow them to dry for a few hours until they feel crispy.
2. Apply adhesive spray (optional). This step is optional, but it can help to keep the glitter from falling off the pinecones. If you choose to use adhesive spray, hold the can about 6-8 inches away from the pinecones and spray them evenly. Allow the adhesive to dry for a few minutes.
3. Pour the glitter onto a plate. Place a piece of paper plate or aluminum foil. Pour glitter onto the plate, making sure there is enough to coat the pinecones.
4. Roll the pinecones in the glitter. Roll each pinecone in the glitter, ensuring all sides are well-covered.
5. Use your fingers to distribute the glitter. Use your fingers to spread the glitter evenly over the pinecones, making sure to get into all the crevices.
6. Allow the glue to dry. Allow the adhesive to dry completely before moving or displaying the glittery pinecones. This may take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.
7. Enjoy!* Display your glittery pinecones in a bowl or vase.
