How to Make Whistles With Smartie Boxes

Materials:

- Empty Smartie boxes

- Scissors

- Craft knife

- Paperclip

Instructions:

1. Cut off the lid of the Smartie box. Use the scissors or craft knife to carefully cut around the edge of the lid, leaving the bottom of the box intact.

2. Cut out a small hole in the centre of the lid. Use the craft knife to make a hole about 1cm in diameter in the centre of the lid.

3. Insert the paperclip into the hole. Bend the paperclip into a U-shape and insert it into the hole in the lid, with the ends of the paperclip pointing upwards.

4. Blow into the whistle. Place the whistle in your mouth and blow into it, aiming your breath towards the paperclip. The paperclip will vibrate and create a whistling sound.

Tips:

- You can experiment with different sizes and shapes of holes to create different whistle sounds.

- You can also decorate your whistles with stickers or paint.
