Fill up a flower pot. Purchase a large steel or other metal flower pot that can be placed on your back patio or on the front porch. Fill up the pot with pine cones of all shapes and sizes.
Hang up a string of lights. Hang a string of lights around the ceiling of your screened-in porch or along the railing of your back patio. Wrap one end of the floral wire around the tip of the pine cone and then wrap the other end to the string of hanging lights. Repeat this step until you have enough pine cones hanging up with the lights to suit your taste.
Make suncatchers. Turn pine cones into suncatchers using crystal beads and hang around your patio or on the outside of every window. Wrap one end of the floral wire to the top of the pine cone and then place the crystal beads on the wire above the pine cone. Attach the other end of the floral wire to the window or patio.
Make a tree. Using the wood glue, attach the pine cones to the rim of a concrete pot holder and continue working your way up until you have made a pyramid design. If desired, add ribbon and colorful ornaments to the pine cone tree.
Hang on your front door. Use large pine cones that are approximately 3 inches to 4 inches in length to make a pine cone masterpiece to hang on your front door. Tie pine cones together using floral ribbon and top off with a large bow. If desired, flock the pine cones with spray-on snow for the holidays.
