1. Gather your materials. You will need:
* Candles
* Feathers (dyed or natural)
* Scissors or craft knife
* Clear glue or hot glue
* A paper towel
* Some heavy books
2. Measure the length of the feathers. Use a ruler to measure the length of your feathers. The feathers should be at least 2 inches longer than the candles.
3. Cut the feathers to size. Use a scissors to cut the feathers to size. The feathers should be approximately 2 inches shorter than the candles so they won't protrude too far from the flame.
4. Glue the feathers to the candles. Start by gluing the bottom of one feather to the side of the candle. Then, glue the rest of the feathers to the candle in a spiral pattern, working your way up from the bottom to the top. Make sure to overlap the feathers slightly, so there are no gaps.
5. Press down on the feathers. Use a paper towel to press down on the feathers and help them adhere to the candle. Then, place the candles under a stack of heavy books to help hold them in place while the glue dries.
6. Let the glue dry completely. Allow the candles to dry completely before burning them. This will help prevent the feathers from coming loose.
7. Enjoy your feather candles! Once the glue is dry, you can light your candles and enjoy their beautiful flickering light.
