Measure the wall and mark the targeted location of the painting. Clean the area that the painting is to be attached to, preferably with rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth, to eliminate oil and dirt.
Attach stick-on hanging strips to either side of the canvas back and one on the top board on the back of the canvas. Peel off the backing and press firmly to the wall. Select the hanging strip that is best for your painting based on size. Some brands offer strips in various sizes; check the packaging to determine which size is best for your painting.
Peel off the protective covers from the sticky pad and attach the pad to the back of the hook. Press the hook firmly to the targeted location of the hook. Hang the painting on the hook. If the painting does not have a hanging wire on the back of it, attach one to it before using the fixed wall hook. Select the type and number of hooks based on the weight of the canvas painting -- bathroom hooks will typically hold more weight.
Follow the same directions for the regular fixed hooks to attach the sawtooth hangers to the wall. Take care to use the sawtooth hangers for small canvas paintings because these hangers can only handle a maximum of 5 pounds.
