Remove the lower toe panel or rear panel from your dryer, depending on where the burner assembly is located in your unit. Refer to your user manual to determine where the burner assembly is.
Remove the screws from the panel where your burner assembly is located using a Phillips screwdriver.
Run the dryer in a normal cycle in order to test the flame sensor.
Look at the burner assembly to make sure the ignitor is glowing. If it glows for up to 15 seconds and then dies out then the problem is with the solenoid.
Stop the the dryer cycle. If the glow continues then the problem is with the flame sensor, and the flame sensor should be replaced. See the following steps on how to do this.
Move the dryer away from the wall, and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Turn the gas supply valve at the back of the dryer to the "Off" position.
Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the flame sensor, with the burner assembly still accessible.
Remove the mounting screw hold the flame sensor in place and pull out the flame sensor part.
Attach the new flame sensor into the same position and reinsert the mounting screw. Reconnect the wire harness to the flame sensor.
Place the bottom toe panel or rear panel back onto the dryer and turn the gas supply valve back to the "On" position. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
