How to Replace a GE Washer's Green Rod

The tub in your GE washer is held up by suspension rods that allow it rotate in the unit without touching the sides. Depending on the unit, your rods have a black, yellow or green end. The yellow and green rods are located in the back of the unit. A sign that you need to replace the rod is that the tub doesn’t sit level in the unit. Instead, the tub leans to one side because the suspension rod isn’t supporting it there. Replacing a green suspension rod varies depending on the model of GE washer, but in general you should be able to replace a rod with relative ease.
