How to Clean Cat Pee From Dry-Clean-Only Comforter

Materials needed:

* Paper towels

* Mild detergent

* White vinegar

* Hydrogen peroxide

* Baking soda

* Damp cloth

* Hair dryer (optional)

1. Blot up the cat pee as soon as possible. Use paper towels to absorb as much of the urine as you can. Do not rub the stain, as this can spread it and make it more difficult to remove.

2. Rinse the stain with water. Use a damp cloth to rinse the stain with cool water. Be sure to rinse thoroughly so that all of the urine is removed.

3. Apply a mild detergent to the stain. Use a mild detergent, such as dish soap or laundry detergent, to the stain. Work the detergent into the fabric with your fingers.

4. Rinse the stain again. Use a damp cloth to rinse the stain thoroughly. Be sure to rinse all of the detergent out of the fabric.

5. Apply a mixture of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide to the stain. Mix equal parts white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Apply the mixture to the stain and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.

6. Rinse the stain again. Use a damp cloth to rinse the stain thoroughly. Be sure to rinse all of the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide out of the fabric.

7. Sprinkle baking soda on the stain. Sprinkle baking soda on the stain and let it sit for 1-2 hours. The baking soda will help to absorb any remaining moisture and odours.

8. Vacuum up the baking soda. Use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum up the baking soda.

9. Dry the comforter. Hang the comforter to dry or use a hair dryer on the low heat setting.

Tips:

* If the cat pee stain is old or has set in, you may need to repeat the cleaning process several times.

* If you are not sure whether your comforter is dry-clean-only, test a small area of the fabric with the cleaning solution before treating the entire comforter.

* If you are still unable to remove the cat pee stain, you may need to take the comforter to a professional dry cleaner.
