Move your LG refrigerator away from the wall, and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
Disconnect the water tubing connected to the refrigerator on the top right side of the back of the refrigerator by pulling it out of the metal elbow connector.
Remove the two screws from the plastic water tube cover using a Phillips screwdriver, and set the cover aside.
Open the refrigerator door, and remove all food from the door. Remove the screw from the door hinge cover. Disconnect all of the wire harnesses connected to the cover.
Pull out the water tube from the tube channel, and turn the metal hinge lock lever counter-clockwise to release the lock.
Lift off the hinge, and then lift the entire door off of the refrigerator. Remove the bolts from the door stop on the top portion of the door using a socket wrench.
Lift out the small, black metal door camshaft piece from the below the door stop. Insert the new camshaft into the same position.
Reinsert the bolts into the door stop, and then place the door back onto your refrigerator. Place the door hinge back over the door stop.
Turn the hinge lock lever clockwise, and then slide the water tube back through the tube channel. Reconnect all of the wire harnesses to the door cover.
Place the door cover back on, and reinsert the screws into the cover. Return the food to the door, and close the door.
Place the water tube cover back on and reinsert the screws to the cover. Reconnect the water tubing, and then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
