Troubleshooting a Glow Worm 18Hxi Boiler

Knowing how to troubleshoot a boiler on your own is an essential part of maintaining a warm and comfortable home. Should your boiler fail to operate properly during cold weather, surely it is preferable to address and repair the issue on your own rather than sitting in cold weather while waiting for a repair professional to arrive at your home. Simple malfunctions that boilers such as the Glow Worm 18Hxi can typically be addressed in a few simple steps.

      Verify gas supply to the boiler. Check any shutoff valves and gas cocks that supply the boiler and make sure they are open. It is also wise to contact your gas supplier and make sure that you service has not been interrupted for any reason. If the boiler is receiving gas, some more troubleshooting is necessary.

      Verify that the boiler is powered on. The boiler's control panel is located on the bottom of the front of the boiler; the mains power switch is located on the far right of the panel, next to the Glow Worm logo. If the mains reset switch is set to the off position ("0") move it to the on position ("I") and check if the boiler returns to normal functioning.

      Reset the boiler. Move the same main reset switch as described above to the off ("0") position, wait five seconds and move the switch back to the on ("I") position. Test the boiler's functions again to see if it now works normally. If there is still no response, contact Glow Worm product support for further assistance.
