Ingredients:
- 1 pound giblets (gizzards, hearts, and livers)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped carrots
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1.) Rinse the giblets under cold water and pat them dry.
2.) In a microwave-safe dish, combine the giblets, olive oil, chicken broth, white wine, onion, celery, carrots, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
3.) Cover the dish and microwave on high for 5 minutes.
4.) Stir the giblets and continue microwaving on high for 3-5 minutes, or until the giblets are cooked through.
5.) Serve the giblets hot with your favorite sides.
Tips:
- Be sure to cook the giblets until they are cooked through, as undercooked giblets can be tough and chewy.
- If you don't have a microwave-safe dish, you can also cook the giblets in a covered saucepan over medium heat on the stovetop.
- Giblets are a great way to add flavor and protein to your meals. They can be used in soups, stews, casseroles, and other dishes.
