How to Install the Soap Dispenser Door on a Bosch Dishwasher

The soap dispenser in your Bosch dishwasher is located in the dishwasher door. The dispenser holds the dishwasher detergent in the soap cup, which has a lid that slides closed. The lid opens during the wash cycle, releasing the dish detergent into the dishwasher. The most common causes of failure of the detergent door are the door failing to open or failing to remain shut. If the door is damaged, you can replace it without replacing the entire dishwasher soap dispenser.

     Remove the old dishwasher soap door if applicable. To remove, insert a flat-head screwdriver under the door, and pry off the door. The door pops right off of the dispenser.

     Hold the new door face-down above the soap dispenser, and then slide the spring connected to the blue plastic door release onto the spring post on the inside of the soap dispenser door panel.

     Align the new door with the edges of the soap dispenser, and then apply downward pressure on the door to snap it onto the dispenser.
