How to Operate a Toshiba RC-10 Rice Cooker

## 1. Measure and rinse the rice.

- Use the provided measuring cup to add the desired amount of white or brown rice to the inner cooking pan.

- Rinse the rice in a colander under cold running water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch and helps to prevent the rice from sticking together during cooking.

2. Add water to the inner cooking pan.

- The amount of water you add will depend on the type of rice you are cooking and the desired consistency.

- For white rice, use a 1:1 ratio of rice to water (e.g., 1 cup of rice to 1 cup of water).

- For brown rice, use a 1:1.5 ratio of rice to water (e.g., 1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups of water).

3. Add any desired ingredients.

- You can add a variety of ingredients to your rice cooker, such as vegetables, meat, or seafood.

- Simply place the ingredients on top of the rice in the inner cooking pan.

4. Close the lid of the rice cooker.

- Make sure the lid is closed securely so that the steam can build up inside.

5. Select the cooking mode.

- The Toshiba RC-10 Rice Cooker has two cooking modes: "White Rice" and "Brown Rice."

- Select the appropriate mode for the type of rice you are cooking.

6. Press the "Start" button.

- The rice cooker will begin cooking the rice.

- When the rice is cooked, the rice cooker will automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode, which will keep the rice warm until you are ready to serve it.

7. Serve the rice.

- When you are ready to serve the rice, press the "Open" button to release the lid.

- Fluff the rice with a spoon and serve it on plates.
