A refrigerator's enamel coating can chip or scratch if sharp objects are dragged against the surface. This causes obvious cosmetic damage, but it also exposes the metal surface to corrosion. Match the color of your fridge to a bottle of appliance repair paint, which contains enamel to fill in scratches and chips. You can buy the paint at an appliance or hardware store, and use it to repair minor chips, scratches and blemishes on the surface of your refrigerator.
