How to Clean Air Exchanger Filters

Air exchanger filters should be cleaned every two to four weeks, depending on the level of dust and dirt in your home. To clean a air exchanger filter, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the air exchanger.

2. Remove the air exchanger filter from the unit.

3. Hold the air exchanger filter under warm running water and gently brush it with a soft brush.

4. Rinse the air exchanger filter thoroughly with clean water.

5. Allow the air exchanger filter to dry completely before reinstalling it in the unit.

Here are some additional tips for cleaning air exchanger filters:

- If the air exchanger filter is very dirty, you may need to soak it in a solution of warm water and mild detergent for a few minutes before brushing it.

- Be sure to rinse the air exchanger filter thoroughly with clean water to remove any traces of detergent.

- Allow the air exchanger filter to dry completely before reinstalling it in the unit. Installing a wet air exchanger filter can damage the unit.
