How to Make River Rock Placemats

## Materials

* River rocks

* Epoxy resin

* Hardener

* Mixing container

* Stirring stick

* Disposable gloves

* Safety goggles

* Mold (such as a wooden frame or plastic container)

* Parchment paper

Instructions

1. Gather your materials.

2. Put on your disposable gloves and safety goggles.

3. In a well-ventilated area, mix the epoxy resin and hardener according to the package instructions.

4. Place your mold on a level surface.

5. Cover the mold with parchment paper. This will help to prevent the rocks from sticking to the bottom of the mold.

6. Pour the epoxy resin into the mold, careful not to overflow.

7. Place the river rocks in the epoxy resin, spacing them evenly.

8. Use a stirring stick to gently mix the resin and rocks. Be careful not to splash the resin.

9. Remove any bubbles that form on the surface of the epoxy resin with a toothpick.

10. Leave the epoxy resin to cure for at least 24 hours.

11. Once the epoxy resin has cured, remove the placemats from the mold.

12. Enjoy your new river rock placemats!

Tips

* For a more rustic look, use natural river rocks that have not been tumbled or polished.

* You can add other decorative items to your placemats, such as shells, glass beads, or glitter.

* Be creative and have fun with it!
