Troy-Bilt Rototillers Identification

Troy-Bilt started in 1937, and it was acquired by MTD Products, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2001. Troy-Bilt specializes in home power equipment, including lawn mowers, snow blowers and rototillers. A rototiller uses mechanical, rotating blades or tines to break up your soil in preparation for planting. You can purchase Troy-Bilt products from local retailers or from online vendors.   1. Bronco

    • The Bronco series includes the Bronco CRT Garden Tiller and the Super Bronco CRT Garden Tiller. The Bronco CRT model features a 10-inch-diameter tine and a 14-inch tilling width. The Super Bronco has a 1- inch-diameter tine and a 16-inch tilling width. You can adjust the tilling depth to a maximum of 6 inches deep on both these models. Both these tillers come with a 208 cubic centimeter Troy-Bilt engine.

    Pony

    • This series includes the Pony ES Garden Tiller and the Pony Garden Tiller. Both these models have 12-inch-diameter tines, and you can adjust the tilling depth to a maximum of 8 inches. Both these models have a 16-inch tilling depth. Both use a Briggs & Stratton Powerbuilt 250 cubic centimer engine, producing up to 11 pounds per feet of torque.

    Pro-Line

    • The Pro-Line series includes the Pro-Line CRT and Pro-Line FRT garden tillers, and both these tillers have a 16-inch tilling width. They come with 10-inch-diameter tines and a cast-iron transmission. The major difference is the adjustable tilling depth. You can adjust the FRT model up to 8 inches deep, while you can only adjust the CRT model up to 6 inches deep. You can also add attachments to the FRT model.

    Big Red

    • The Big Red garden tiller has a 20-inch tilling width and 12-inch-diameter tines, and it has a front bumper to protect the internal components. This model has four forward, two reverse and one neutral gear, and it has a power take-off (PTO) system to move the attachments. You can add attachments to this machine. This machine uses a 305 cubic centimeter Briggs & Stratton Powerbuilt engine, which produces up to 14.5 feet per pound of torque.

    Horse

    • The Horse garden tiller features two reverse, one neutral and four forward gears, and it comes with a cast-iron transmission. It comes with a 305 cubic centimer Briggs & Stratton Powerbuilt engine, which produces up to 13.5 pounds per feet of torque. This rototiller has a 20-inch tilling width and 12-inch-diameter tines, and the tilling depth is adjustable up to 8 inches. It also comes with a standard PTO system.
