Step 1: Gather your materials.
You will need:
- A nail gun
- Nails
- Safety glasses
Step 2: Prepare the nail gun.
- Make sure the nail gun is unplugged and turned off.
- Open the nail gun's magazine. This is usually done by pressing a button or lever.
- Insert the nails into the magazine. Make sure the nails are pointing in the correct direction.
- Close the magazine.
Step 3: Put on your safety glasses.
This will protect your eyes from any flying debris.
Step 4: Turn on the nail gun.
- Plug in the nail gun and turn it on.
- Hold the nail gun firmly against the surface you want to nail.
- Pull the trigger to fire the nail.
Step 5: Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all of the nails are driven.
- Be sure to keep your fingers away from the trigger when you are not using the nail gun.
- When you are finished, turn off the nail gun and unplug it.
Tips:
- To avoid jams, make sure the nails are properly inserted into the magazine and that the magazine is closed properly.
- If a nail does jam, turn off the nail gun and unplug it. Then, use a screwdriver or other tool to remove the jammed nail.
- Be careful not to over-drive the nails. This can damage the surface you are nailing.
- Always wear safety glasses when using a nail gun.
