Measure the dimensions of your garden using a tape measure. Measure the distance from the exterior water outlet and your garden.
Purchase a water hose that is equal to the two lengths measured out in step one.
Attach one end of the water hose to the exterior water outlet. Screw the end of the hose in a clockwise direction until secure.
Puncture the water hose using a utility knife. Make the holes 5 inches apart. The diameter of the holes should be one-third of an inch. Start from the portion of the hose in the perimeter of your garden.
Insert ¼-inch plastic sprinkler nozzles into the holes, and push the sprinkler nozzles into the center of the holes. Wrap a rubber band on the bottom of the nozzles between the sprinkler nozzle and the hose - this seals the hose from water leakage.
Seal the other end of the hose with a hose plug, and screw the plug to the opposite end of the water hose in a clockwise direction. This prevents water from spilling out the end of the hose.
Dig two inches deep into the soil around your home garden with a hand shovel - the width is equal to the size of the water hose.
Insert the water hose with the sprinkler nozzles facing up. Place the water hose in the trenches in the soil.
Cover the portions of the water hose that do not have a sprinkler nozzle with soil. Pat down the soil with a hand shovel. This secures the water hose in place.
Turn the water hose knob in a counterclockwise direction. Water mist sprays out of the hose and onto your garden. Your mister system is now ready to use.
