Instructions for the Greatland Outdoors Canopy

A sunny day makes all kinds of outdoor activities possible, but nothing ruins a day outdoors like overexposure to the sun. Shady spots can prove difficult to find, so it can help to bring your own shade with you. Target produces an easy-set-up canopy through its Greatland product line that provides portable shade virtually anywhere. Designed to set up in only a few minutes, the Greatland canopy has special parts and requires specific steps for proper setup.

  Remove the Greatland canopy from its carrying bag.

  Set the canopy upright so its four legs touch the ground.

  Pull the canopy's legs outward so its "accordion" sides extend to their full length.

  Place the canopy's fabric top over the top of the unit. Slide it down over the tops of the legs.

  Lift the expanded canopy so its legs no longer touch the ground.

  Press one of the quick-lock levers at the corners of the canopy to release that corner's leg. This step may require one person to lift the canopy and one person to extend the leg.

  Extend the leg to its full length. Release the quick-lock lever to secure the leg in place. Repeat this process with the remaining legs.
