Instructions

  1. Marker Stains

    • 1

Apply water-displacing spray to the stain.

    • 2

Cover it with plastic wrap. Allow it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

    • 3

Mix warm water with a few drops of a mild, dish-washing liquid.

    • 4

Saturate a sponge in the mixture. Rub the stain with the sponge until it is gone.

    • 5

      Rinse with a damp cloth.

    Heat Stains

    • 6

Create a paste using small amounts of baking soda and non-gel toothpaste.

    • 7

Apply the paste to the heat stain. Rub the paste gently into the oak table with a soft cloth until the paste warms.

    • 8

Wipe off the paste with a clean, damp cloth.

    • 9

Repeat the process until the heat stain is gone.

    • 10

Polish the oak table as usual.

    Water Stains

    • 11

Preheat your iron on a medium setting.

    • 12

Place a clean, white towel on top of the water stain.

    • 13

Rub the iron over the towel in a back and forth motion for several passes.

    • 14

Lift the towel to check the stain. Continue rubbing the iron across the towel until the stain has been removed.
