How to Replace Deck Chair Webbing

Remove all old webbing by removing the connection screws on the back of the deck chair frame with the screwdriver.

Sand any rusted or corroded spots on the deck chair frame with the sandpaper. Spray-paint the frame with the metallic paint. Let the paint dry for 24 hours. Spay on the acrylic sealer and let that dry for 24 hours.

Measure the length of the old webbing strips. Cut the replacement strips of webbing to the measurements.

Attach the strips that fill the chair's length to the deck chair by folding a two-inch end into a triangle point and wrapping it around the frame, inserting the screwdriver through the triangle section to make a hole; insert the screw and tighten it with the screwdriver.

Attach the webbing strips that complement the long ones and comprise the chair's width on one long side of the deck chair using the same method. Weave these strips under and over the length strips and attach them to the opposite long end of the deck chair.
