Instructions

    • 1

Wipe down the entertainment center thoroughly with a rag to remove any accumulated dirt or dust. Everything should be as clean and dust-free as possible before continuing.

    • 2

Staple a thick fabric or sheet to the back of the entertainment center to cover the opening where the TV used to go. Position a mirror against the fabric the same size as the opening if you'd like to make the bar look bigger.

    • 3

Cover the bottom of the TV compartment with bathroom tile. This helps prevent wood damage from dripping alcohol and also improves the appearance of the new bar.

    • 4

Install a hanging rack into the underside of the TV compartment by screwing it in through the top with a drill so it hangs down. Use the rack to hold upside down glasses, ice buckets and other bar amenities.

    • 5

Place plastic blocks or risers into the TV compartment so bottles sit at different heights. This gives the bar a more varied look and also makes the drink selection easier to see.

    • 6

Place black lights in the back of the TV compartment and in any other compartments where on the entertainment center where they fit. Run the power cables out the back and plug them into a power strip or wall outlet. This provides back lighting for your drinks and makes the bar look more impressive.

    • 7

Fill the TV compartment with liquor selections. Place larger bottles on the top of the entertainment center.

    • 8

Place a stereo in the smaller cabinet near the bottom of the entertainment center if you have one. This gives you more entertainment options for your bar when hosting a party. A small fridge or ice chest is possible if they fit inside the compartment. This depends on your specific entertainment center.
