Refurbishing a Laminated Desk

Refurbishing a worn laminated desk is a moderately simple do-it-yourself project that transforms an eyesore into a valuable part of a room's decor. Laminates are thin sheets of mostly paper and resin that are bonded to plywood, particle board or MDF to make affordable, but often disposable, furniture. The process of removing old laminates and bonding new laminates is time consuming and difficult for the novice, so painting is the most common choice for refurbishing laminated surfaces.

Brush in one direction and let dry for two hours or according to manufacturer's instructions.
