A Semi-Fold foundation isn’t solid, so it provides enough air circulation to make mildew less of a hazard. The foundation provides enough even support that a latex mattress will be comfortable when placed on top of it.

Considerations

• If you are looking for the most comfortable and compatible foundation for a latex mattress, a slatted bed frame is your best option. Not only does air circulate well under the mattress, but the slats can be moved to provide custom support beneath the mattress. If a slatted frame won’t fit up the stairs to your bedroom, a Semi-Fold foundation will work as an alternative.
