Assembly Instructions for a Toddler Sleigh Bed

When it comes time for your little one to make the change from a crib to a bed, the logical choice is a toddler bed. Many types of toddler beds are on the market, from those that turn into a full-size bed to sleigh-bed styles. Assembling any type of toddler bed, however, can seem like an insurmountable task without instructions. With instructions, the task is more manageable, and soon your "big girl" will be in a bed all her own.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the side rails for the bed. These will be long pieces (about 5 feet).

    • 2

Locate headboard. The headboard and foot board of the bed will look similar, about 3.5 feet wide. These pieces go at the top (head) and bottom (foot) of the bed. They will be distinguishable in a sleigh bed because the ends of them curl under like the end of a toboggan.

    • 3

Place a screw through one of the slats and into the screw holes on the headboard. Repeat with the other slat and the other side of the headboard.

    • 4

Place a screw through one of the slats and into the foot board. Repeat with the other slat on the other side.

    • 5

Locate support slats and place those about 1 foot from the top and bottom of the bed.

    • 6

Place the support board on the frame.

    • 7

Place the mattress on the support board.
