How to Remove Backhoe Pivot Pins

A backhoe is a piece of excavating equipment normally installed on the rear of a tractor. It uses an articulating arm, bucket and hydraulics to dig the ground. Coleman Equipment introduced this tool in 1957 and changed the way people build homes. The backhoe is effective at digging trenches and foundation holes. The backhoe pivot pin is used to secure the joints in the excavator's arm. Removing the pin allows the user to disassemble the arm or change the bucket.
