How to Install Countertop Soap Dispensers

If you appreciate a clean, uncluttered look in your kitchen, you can streamline your counter space by adding a countertop soap dispenser. Countertop soap dispensers take away the clunky looking soap bottle from your sink, and provide a reservoir underneath the sink, activated by pressing a simple pump button. You'll have soap on tap, but not on top, getting in the way and interrupting the flow of your kitchen decor.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Decide on the location where you want the nozzle of the soap dispenser. Place a piece of masking tape onto the countertop location to protect the surface when you drill.

    • 2

Drill a hole with a small bit at the center of the location. Drill a larger hole with a 1 1/4-inch hole drill bit.

    • 3

Place the sleeve of the soap dispenser into the hole you've drilled. Use the nut supplied with the sleeve to secure the sleeve to the countertop.

    • 4

Insert the soap dispenser pump into the sleeve from above the counter and secure it with the supplied nut. Screw the soap bottle into the pump from the bottom, after filling it with soap.
