How to Use a Pampered Chef Corkscrew

1. Open the Wine Bottle:

- Position the wine bottle on a stable surface with the bottle's label

facing you.

- Remove the foil capsule by carefully cutting it with a foil cutter or by

sliding it off.

2. Insert the Corkscrew:

- Hold the corkscrew with the handle pointing down and the tines

facing up.

- Center the corkscrew over the center of the bottle's neck.

- Use a slight twirling motion to push the tines into the cork

(about halfway).

- Ensure the tines are firmly inserted into the cork, not slipping on

the sides.

3. Lift and Twist:

- While keeping the corkscrew pressed against the bottle, gently lift the

corkscrew's handle.

- This should start lifting the cork out of the bottle as the tines engage

with it.

- Continue lifting the corkscrew handle while applying a bit of a

twisting motion to help the tines work effectively.

4. Fully Remove the Cork:

- Keep lifting and gently twisting the corkscrew handle until the entire

cork is lifted out of the bottle.

- Be careful not to pull out too quickly or jerk the corkscrew, as it

may cause the cork to break or pieces of the cork may fall into the

wine.

5. Serve the Wine:

- Once the cork is fully removed, pour the wine into a glass and enjoy!

Tips:

- Always use a good quality corkscrew to avoid damaging the cork.

- If the cork is old, brittle, or crumbly, insert the corkscrew slowly to

avoid breaking it.

- If the cork breaks or crumbles, try gently pushing the pieces into

the bottle with the narrow end of the corkscrew before pouring the

wine.
