There will be a cotter pin, or bolt, that must be removed next.
Once you have removed the nut and cotter pin/bolt, you will need to remove the wheel by pulling it straight out towards the side of the trailer (do not pull it away at an angle).
Look for a raised, stamped marking on the spindle. You should see numbers that will list the axle specifications. They will most likely appear in this format:

Take the first set of numbers prior to the comma (XX,000).
Those will indicate axle size.
In this example, the first set of numbers (20,000) refer to the axle capacity. The second set (4,400) refer to the hub/wheel rating so we know this is a 20,000 lb. axle with 4,400 lb. hubs/wheels.
