How to Stop a Toilet Seat From Squeaking

To stop a toilet seat from squeaking, you will need the following tools and materials:

* Adjustable wrench

* Screwdriver

* WD-40 lubricant spray

1. Use the adjustable wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the toilet seat to the toilet bowl.

2. Remove the nuts and bolts and the old washers from the toilet seat.

3. Place a small amount of WD-40 lubricant spray on the bolts.

4. Place new washers on the bolts.

5. Replace the nuts and bolts and use the adjustable wrench to tighten them until they are snug.

6. Use the screwdriver to turn the screws that hold the toilet seat in place until they are snug.

7. Test the toilet seat to make sure it is no longer squeaking.

If the toilet seat is still squeaking, you may need to replace the hinge pins. To do this, you will need the following tools and materials:

* Drill

* ¼-inch drill bit

* Hammer

* Replacement hinge pins

1. Use the drill to drill out the old hinge pins.

2. Use the hammer to knock the old hinge pins out of the toilet seat.

3. Insert the new hinge pins into the toilet seat and tap them into place with the hammer.

4. Test the toilet seat to make sure it is no longer squeaking.
