- (2) 1-foot lengths
- (1) 2-foot length
2. Attach the Elbows
Attach the PVC elbows to the ends of the 1-foot and 2-foot pieces of pipe. Make sure the elbows are facing in the same direction.
3. Attach the Caps
Attach the PVC caps to the ends of the remaining two 1-foot pieces of pipe.
4. Attach the Tube Straps
Attach the PVC tube straps to the elbows, about 6 inches from each end.
5. Mark the Wall Studs
Using a stud finder, mark the locations of the wall studs in the shower.
6. Pre-Drill Holes
Pre-drill holes in the wall studs at the marked locations. The holes should be slightly smaller than the screws you will be using.
7. Insert Wall Anchors
Insert wall anchors into the holes. The wall anchors will help to hold the screws in place.
8. Attach the Rod
Hold the rod against the wall, aligning the marked locations with the tube straps. Insert the screws through the tube straps and into the wall anchors. Tighten the screws until the rod is secure.
9. Hang the Shower Curtain
Hang the shower curtain on the rod, using the shower curtain rings.
- Measure twice and cut once. Make sure the measurements for the PVC pipe are accurate before cutting.
- Use a level to make sure the shower curtain rod is installed level.
- Make sure the screws are tightened securely so that the rod is stable.
- If you do not have a stud finder, you can find the wall studs by tapping on the wall. The studs will sound solid, while the areas between the studs will sound hollow.
