Materials:
Brown packing paper
Scissors or a craft knife
Ruler or measuring tape
Pencil or marker
Craft glue or double-sided tape
Instructions:
Measure and Cut the Paper:
Measure and cut a piece of brown packing paper into a rectangular shape. The size of the rectangle will determine the dimensions of your tree trunk. For a medium-sized tree trunk, you can use a piece of paper that is approximately 12 inches wide and 18 inches long.
Roll the Paper:
Roll the rectangular piece of paper into a tube shape. Make sure the edges are aligned as you roll the paper.
Secure the Tube:
Use craft glue or double-sided tape to secure the edges of the paper tube. This will help keep the tube intact and form the tree trunk.
Create the Bark Texture:
To create the bark texture on the tree trunk, use a pencil or marker to draw vertical lines along the length of the paper tube. You can also use a blunt object, such as the eraser end of a pencil, to create a more textured appearance.
Add Branches:
Cut smaller pieces of brown packing paper into rectangular shapes. These pieces will serve as the branches of your tree trunk.
Roll and secure these rectangular pieces into smaller tubes.
Attach the branches to the tree trunk by gluing or taping them in place. You can position the branches at different angles to create a natural look.
Add Additional Details:
You can further enhance the appearance of your tree trunk by adding additional details such as leaves, knots, or moss. Use your creativity to decorate the tree trunk as desired.
Once you are satisfied with the overall look of the tree trunk, you can display it as part of your themed decor or use it as a prop for photography, parties, or other events.
