- Cotton cord (3mm or 4mm thickness)

1. Cut the cord. Cut a piece of cotton cord that is approximately 10 feet long. Fold the cord in half to create a loop.
2. Make the first knot. Holding the loop at the top, make a simple knot with the two ends of the cord. Pull the knot tight.
