Ingredients:
1 cup witch hazel
1 cup aloe vera gel
30 drops of essential oil (choose from citronella, lemongrass, peppermint, or eucalyptus)
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the witch hazel and aloe vera gel. Stir well until they're fully mixed.
2. Add the essential oils of your choice. Stir again to evenly distribute the oils throughout the mixture.
3. Pour the bug spray into a spray bottle. Shake well before each use.
To Use:
Shake the spray bottle before each use. Spray your exposed skin and clothes, paying special attention to areas like your face, neck, and ankles. Reapply as needed, especially after swimming or sweating.
Additional Tips:
- You can customize the scent of your bug spray by choosing different essential oils. For example, if you want a more citrusy scent, use lemongrass or citronella. If you prefer a minty scent, use peppermint.
- If you don't have aloe vera gel on hand, you can substitute with coconut oil or jojoba oil.
- This bug spray is safe for use on children over 6 years old. For younger children, dilute the essential oils with a carrier oil like coconut or jojoba oil before applying.
Note:
Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. If irritation occurs, stop using and wash the affected area with soap and water.
