Ingredients:
- 1 pound strawberries
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Wash the strawberries and pat dry. Remove the stems.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Dip each strawberry into the chocolate, using a fork to help coat it evenly.
5. Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Tips:
- To make the chocolate coating more glossy, you can add a little bit of vegetable oil to the melted chocolate.
- If you don't have a microwave, you can melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
- You can decorate the chocolate-covered strawberries with sprinkles, nuts, or other toppings.
- Chocolate covered strawberries are best eaten within 24 hours.
