:Materials Needed:
- Coffee beans or ground coffee
- Coffee maker (drip or French press)
- Coffee grinder (if using whole beans)
- Coffee mug or cup
- Water
- Filters (for drip coffee makers)
Instructions:
1. Prepare Your Coffee:
- If you're using whole beans, grind them to a medium-coarse consistency.
- If using pre-ground coffee, ensure it's fresh.
2. Measure Coffee and Water:
- Measure the desired amount of coffee. A good rule of thumb is 1-2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 6 ounces of water. Adjust the proportions according to your preferences.
- Measure the corresponding amount of cold, filtered water.
3. Set Up the Coffee Maker:
- If you're using a drip coffee maker, place a paper filter in the filter basket and add the ground coffee.
- For a French press, add the ground coffee directly into the press.
4. Add Water:
- Pour the measured water into the water reservoir of the coffee maker.
5. Turn On the Coffee Maker:
- Switch on your drip coffee maker and let it brew. For a French press, wait 4 minutes before plunging.
6. Plunge (for French Press):
- After 4 minutes, gently press the plunger down to separate the coffee grounds from the brewed coffee.
7. Pour and Enjoy:
- Once brewing is complete, pour your fresh, hot coffee into a mug or cup.
- Add any desired extras, such as milk, sugar, or flavorings, and enjoy your freshly brewed coffee!
