* 2 large pieces of clear plastic (such as acetate or shower curtain liner)
* Scissors
* Hot glue gun
* Wire cutters
* 12-gauge aluminum wire
* Pliers
* Paint (optional)
* Glitter (optional)
1. Cut the plastic into two large wings. The wings should be about 18 inches wide and 24 inches long.
2. Fold each wing in half lengthwise.
3. Use the hot glue gun to glue the two wings together along the fold.
4. Cut the wire into four 12-inch pieces and four 6-inch pieces.
5. Use the pliers to bend the 12-inch pieces of wire into a "U" shape. These will be the supports for the wings.
6. Use the pliers to bend the 6-inch pieces of wire into a "V" shape. These will be the connectors for the wings.
7. Glue the supports to the back of the wings, one at the top and one at the bottom of each wing.
8. Glue the connectors to the supports, one at the top and one at the bottom of each wing.
9. (Optional) Paint the wings with your desired colors.
10. (Optional) Add glitter to the wings.
11. Let the wings dry completely.
12. Enjoy your new fairy wings!
* To make the wings more durable, you can seal them with a clear spray sealant.
* If you want the wings to be more flexible, you can use a lighter weight plastic.
