How to Prepare Milk Thistle

Milk thistle is a flowering plant in the daisy family, native in southern Europe and distributed throughout the world as a weed. The plant has been used in traditional medicine for centuries for its liver-protective properties.

To prepare milk thistle, you will need:

* Dried milk thistle seeds

* A coffee grinder or mortar and pestle

* A tea infuser or strainer

* A cup of hot water

Instructions:

1. Grind the milk thistle seeds into a fine powder using a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle.

2. Place the ground milk thistle seeds into the tea infuser or strainer.

3. Pour the hot water over the milk thistle seeds in the tea infuser or strainer and let it steep for 10-15 minutes.

4. Remove the tea infuser or strainer from the hot water.

5. Add a sweetener such as honey or stevia to taste.

6. Enjoy your milk thistle tea!

Milk thistle can also be taken in capsule or tincture form. Talk to your doctor or a qualified herbalist to determine which form of milk thistle is right for you.
